Outdoor SunSpaces News

Your home is completely unique to you, and we at SunSpaces want to keep it that way! We are one of the only companies in the UK who specialise in bespoke garden rooms; this means that instead of selling you a standard, 'off-the-shelf' product, we want to hear all about the ideas you have for your SunSpace so that we can help you to make those ideas a reality.

If you'd like to add a garden room to your property, here are some of the options that we can offer you:

Lots of different sizes and shapes

SunSpaces are built using a modular system that's almost infinitely customisable. We offer an extensive selection of standard sizes, but if you have something specific in mind, we'll be more than happy to discuss your ideas and provide a bespoke solution.

Your choice of colours

Our verandas and garden rooms can be supplied in practically any colour you like; we offer three colours as standard (Graphite Grey, Cream, and White) but if you'd like something a little more singular, we can use customised RAL colours to meet your requirements.

Top-quality flooring materials

How you floor your SunSpace is entirely up to you; however, we at SunSpaces can supply you with composite wood decking and/or porcelain paving slabs if either of these appeals to you. Both options are extremely low-maintenance, with a range of contemporary styles and colours to choose from!

TimberTech decking and PrimaPorcelain tiles

Optional accessories

We offer a huge range of accessories to complement our verandas and garden rooms, including heaters, LED spotlights, coloured sun shades, gutter covers, and a choice of roofing materials.

Anything else?

If you have any other garden room ideas that we haven't mentioned here, don't panic - we'd still love to hear about them! To discuss your garden room project with a member of the SunSpaces team, please contact us now. You can also click here to request a FREE design for your SunSpace!

The British climate can be challenging. Take the last two weeks as a prime example – Easter half-term has come and gone and the weather has not exactly been warm and welcoming!  Even when it's not windy, it may be showery. When it's not sunny, it may be windy. And when the temperature drops just that little more, basking in the sunlight is but a desire.   The solution to this is to add a glass room or veranda to your home.

The solution: A Glass Room

Glass rooms are exactly that, an additional room made of glass. Protected from the rain, wind and marginal temperatures, you can relax and be in your garden for many more months each year.

The rooms are designed to your exact needs, and many people choose to have the ability to open up the glass walls on all sides. This allows you to shield yourself from the predominant wind direction while the sun is making you nice and warm. Or perhaps the sun is doing too good a job! Open the windward side and have a nice cool breeze to keep you just at the right temperature.

Verandas and glass rooms extend your living space by making the garden part of your home. The immediate transition of inside-to-outside now has a zone. You can either  sit inside your SunSpace and be protected from the elements, or you  can open up the sides and enjoy the sweet fragrances from the flowers and enjoy listening the sounds of nature coming from your garden space.

Another reason to sit back and relax is that these glass rooms add genuine resale value to your home. These high-quality extensions are very low maintenance. You will spend more time relaxing!

A Mediterranean  Lifestyle

Grab a book, a drink, and sink back into a comfy couch. Enjoy the sound of the rain tapping on the glass. Get sleepy as the sun warms you. Your glass room turns another spring or autumn day into a day in your garden.

Some people bring the garden into their glass room. Container vegetable gardening, ferns, or flowers, there are many ways to make the space even more pleasant. The transition from your home into your garden will be even more successful.

Because these rooms are designed specifically for your home, they can take advantage of any kind of space. Space you might have considered unusable because of its shape, size, or location becomes your favourite spot to sit back and let the worries of the day fade away.

Bring Luxury to your Home Today

Arrange for someone from SunSpaces to come and see you and discuss your requirements.   From a modern veranda through to a fully insulated glass room with automated lighting, shade, and climate control – we can cater for all your needs.

So, next time you feel trapped in your own home because of inclement weather, think about how nice it would be to have a glass room of your own.

Perhaps you’ve toyed with the idea of adding a sunspace to your home. Perhaps, to get some ideas you’ve been looking online, at magazines or even at other people’s houses. You like what you see, but you have trouble deciding what would be best. Something in white, something in black, or grey? A sunspace with a solid roof or a glass roof?

At SunSpaces we take the worry out of your plans. We have a team of design experts who are also CAD specialists, a nifty computer program that allows them to create lifelike 3D designs of sunspaces. You can call us at 029-2080-3756, send an email to info@sunspaces.co.uk or fill in the form on our website. What we need from you is your name, your email address, phone number, the dimensions of the projects and any comments you might have. With this information, our designers get to work. When they have something set up, one of them will contact you to finalize the design.

If this or that needs changing, this will be done in a jiffy. After all, this is your design and you need to be happy with it. If you are satisfied with what you see we supply the materials and you can build the sunspace yourself, or if you’re not the youngest or the handiest of people, we will build it for you.

The creators of a 3D design of a sunspace do more than just present you with a structure though. Creative as this team is, they can include furniture and greenery for the sunspace. That way you get a clear idea of what you can do to turn this space into an addition of your home.

Just think about it, British weather is unpredictable and if you can enjoy your garden from May to September, you’re lucky. With a sunspace, you can enjoy it from March to October.

Once you have a sunspace, you’ll wonder how you ever managed without it. It’s a place where you can send the kids when they get too noisy, where you can get together with friends without disturbing the rest of the house, or where you can sit and gaze at the moon and the stars with a loved one. Do you crave solitude? A sunspace can be a retreat for you to sit and relax, read a book, or work on your craft in peace and quiet.

If you need inspiration, visit our gallery and see what’s available. There are cozy garden rooms, beautiful verandas, and luxurious glass extensions. You look, you decide, you let us know the dimensions, and we build your dream sunspace. First in 3D, then for real.

With the new year just beginning, why not look at treating yourself to a Haven Garden Room? Garden rooms are currently one of the most popular ways for homeowners to add an additional room to their home, thus increasing space and value. However, by installing such a versatile room, there is the possibility to do so much more with this readily available space.

Why Choose a Garden Room?
Alongside giving you extra room in your home, a garden room is the most straightforward of spaces to erect. With a secure design, the transition from home to the garden room is effortless. However, why many customers choose garden rooms is the sheer fact that they do not usually require the long-winded process of planning permission. This means that you could choose, purchase and have your garden room up and running within a week! When you compare this to the time and hassle it takes to get a conservatory installed, it is little wonder that garden rooms are the more popular of choices.

The Stunning Features of a Haven Garden Room
A popular choice for all customers, The Haven Garden Room really does offer a little haven for all homeowners. This room allows you to sit and watch the turning of the seasons as this is a garden room which you can fully embrace all year round. With an aluminium structure, the room provides ample protection from the weather, ensuring you are kept warm during the cold months and cool during those hotter months.

The inclusion of sliding doors means that you can enjoy your garden space for many more months of the year and delight in what nature has to offer you from the comfort of your garden room. When you would like a bit of privacy in the evenings, you can always make use of a range of manual or electric blinds to complement your overall garden room design!

With vast options available for roofing, lighting, guttering, additional heating, shade and even sound systems, you may just find yourself never wanting to leave this multi-purpose room!

The Many Possibilities of Installing a Garden Room
With a new year just beginning, why not do something for yourself and install a garden room for your own pleasure? Have you always wanted to work from home but have never been able to afford the space inside of your home? Maybe taking up a new hobby was one of your resolutions for the new year? Or perhaps you would just like to extend your kitchen space by placing your dining table in the garden room? Whatever you choose, the Haven Garden Room can accommodate all your preferences and look great while doing so!

With a spectacular assortment of finishes, the only limit to a Haven Garden Room is your creative imagination. So, why not get this new year off to the best start yet and treat yourself to a garden room?

Ask anyone who has a glass garden room and they will all tell you the same thing ... they wouldn’t want to be without it. Adding a glass room is more than adding an extension to your home, it opens up a whole world of possibilities.

A glass room makes a home bigger without going through the hassle of planning permits, messy brick and mortar, and builders walking all over your property. Not to mention that a glass room is considerably cheaper than a brick extension.

For people who love the outdoors, a glass room is a little piece of paradise. Regardless what the weather is like, they can enjoy the sunrise over breakfast, see the sun go down without being bitten by bugs, or watch the kids play in the snow from the comfort of an armchair.

If you’re worried about the heat or the cold of such a room, don’t be, modern glass rooms are not like old-fashioned verandas. These days you can enjoy your glass room all year round thanks to a ThermoCore foam roof and wall system that in addition to bringing you comfort is also energy saving.

People who entertain regularly often worry about guests walking all over the house and possibly spill something on an expensive carpet. By having a sunroom that worry disappears. With the right furniture, a sunroom can be just as elegant and welcoming as a dining room but offers privacy.

Do you feel that the kids are making too much noise with their computer games? Direct them to the sunroom. Here they can play and scream and shout to their heart's content.

If on the other hand, you would like a place of your own, a sunroom is an ideal getaway. With a comfortable chair in place, this will be your spot to curl up with a good book and a cup of tea. The place where you can relax and catch your breath.

Do you have a hobby like sewing, woodcarving, or pottery? Nice and creative as these hobbies are, they can get a little messy. Move your hobby to the sunroom and suddenly you don’t have to worry about the mess anymore. Not to mention that a sunroom, with light from all sides, is the ideal place to draw and paint.

Stargazers will be thrilled with a glass room. No longer do they have to put up with the cold to look at the heavens. With a glass roof, a sunroom is the perfect place to set up a telescope and peer at the various constellations without the inconvenience of freezing hands or feet.

If the idea of a glass garden room appeals to you, but you’re not sure what’s on offer or what you would like, request a brochure or have a look online at what’s available. For installation, you can rely on the technicians of bespoke Glass Garden Rooms too, so you won’t have to lift a finger.

Whatever your reason, once you have a sunroom you’ll wonder how you ever managed without one.
